Shepherd’s Pie with Mix veggie mash
A little twist on the traditional shepherds pie with the addition of bone broth and a mixed vegetable mash! This recipe is so nice to share with your baby/toddlers and also makes the perfect meal to drop to your friends and family postpartum!
Turning Puree into Gut-Loving Finger Food
Turning Puree Into Gut-Loving Finger Food This recipe from our book Milk to Meals I wanted to share with you all, because it was a weird scientific experiment I tried with Florence that actually saved my sanity! Flo decided on day 2 of solids that she wouldn’t have a bar of being spoon-fed (should have seen that as a sign for her independent personality now!) so I created with all my leftover purees she wouldn’t eat these little ‘gelation-fingers’ by using gelatin to firm her food! It works for any puree which is the best part!
Nutrient Dense Porridge
Oats help stabilise blood glucose levels, improve satiety and are a good source of complex carbohydrates, fibre and vitamins especially when paired with some of the nutrient dense toppings listed below! Oats can be introduced around 8-10 months once your baby has been digesting foods in the 6-8 month guide with no issues!
Fermented Lentil and Quinoa Dosas
Dosas are a delicious fermented Indian crepe. I love these for babies because they are easy to digest due to the soaking and fermenting of the lentils, and I incorporate bone broth (of course I do!) for that added aid of digestibility!
Baby friendly banana pancakes
These little pancakes are so quick, easy, nutritious and yummy! They make the perfect breakfast, or a great snack for your little one when you’re out and about! They are gluten free, dairy free and nut free (if you omit the nut butter) making them also perfect for little lunchboxes!
Immune Boosting Gummies
More immune boosting gummies to protect you and your babies through winter! Gelatin helps to line your digestive tract and promote better digestion.
Liver Meatballs
Lets face it, we all know we should be eating liver, but sometimes the thought of eating it, or getting your kids to eat it is daunting. Liver is natures BEST superfood, and one of the most nutritious foods available. It is high in bioavailable iron, B vitamins, vitamin A and so much more. It boosts immune system, improves digestion, is a great source of protein and is great for energy!
Sunshine mylk
Sunshine MylkTurmeric is an amazing anti inflammatory and antioxidant, and paired with the good fats of coconut milk makes a delicious, grounding and nourishing drink for any age!
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
This smoothie is so delicious and the perfect way of sneaking some extra vegetables into yours and your Childs diet! Pumpkin is a great first food for baby, so you can ‘kill two birds with one stone’ and cook some pumpkin for your baby, and with the leftovers use to make yourself a smoothie, or add to salads, serve with dinner etc.
