This savoury gummy recipe is perfect for baby-led weaning, and is such a great way to incorporate bone broth into our little ones diet.
With only 4 ingredients, this quick and easy snack is a great alternative to sweeter gummies.
If you are making this recipe for a baby under 12-months, leave out the miso paste due to the sodium content for younger babies.
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 tsp miso paste
- 1 tbsp gelatin
- 1/4 cup water
Stir the gelatin into the 1/4 cup of water and mix well. Set aside to bloom (thicken)
Take out a small saucepan and add in the chicken broth and miso paste. Place over a low heat
Once the gelatin has thickened, spoon it into the saucepan with the broth and miso and keep it over the heat until the gelatin has dissolved
Pour into a small square or rectangle container and cover with a lid. Place into the fridge to set for 2 hours
Once set, slice into finger shaped pieces suitable sizes for BLW
Does not freeze well
* This recipe is best made with broth that is not super gelatinous i.e. not jelly when cold as the extra gelatin is not needed.

Collagen is one of the components of gelatin, so no need to add additional :)
